I recommend

An excellent welcome for this small Pension full of charm. The manager and her companion are very helpful in answering our questions.
An ideal place to approach the Isle of Skye early the next day. The bridge is indeed just nearby, as is the bus station.

Small, clean but bathrooms a bit pongy

We booked the hotel as it was reasonably cheap for the area and a good base. On arrival the hotel was closed with no staff on duty and no one answering the phone. Fortunately there was an out of hours number taped to the door and after a few phone calls we received the keys from a lockbox. Afterwards we found we had received an email from the hotel that afternoon giving us these instructions but that was while we were on route and we hadn’t had any opportunity check emails so not entirely the hotels fault. Once we were in though the hotel was clean with only a few rooms so it was very quiet. We were at the end of the corridor in a double room which was an adequate size with tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom however stunk of mould which is apparently a main gripe of other travellers but despite that it was clean. It was far too small though as you had to negotiate the sink to sit on the loo and there was no way anyone could bend down to wash feet in the shower as the cubicle was too small. There was no bar open when we were there so we didn’t get that noise but there was also nowhere to get an evening meal as everywhere seemed to be closed by 6pm. There is a large co-op nearby to get provisions and I would recommend getting a hot meal at lunchtime instead.

A wonderful night

We just spent a wonderful night in this beautiful guest house located close to Kyle of Lochalsh. We were delighted with our stay. We were received by the local mistress, Mrs MacKenzie, with great courtesy and sympathy. The room we occupied was absolutely perfect in every way.
Breakfast was extremely rich and varied and delicious. Moreover, the place is sumptuous. An address we highly recommend.

NOT recommended at all

Pros: The workers were all very nice and pleasant. It was easy to find on-street parking right across from the hotel. The interior looks better than the exterior.
Cons: Our room smelled SO strongly of mold, we were worried we would be poisoned by it. In fact, I'm not sure that it didn't cause some health problems for us. It was mainly the toilet/bathroom that smelled, so we just kept the door closed--we didn't shower at all because we didn't want to spend any time in there. We were so happy to leave.

A Little Gem in Kyle

This was a last minute booking.
The hotel doesn’t look much from the outside but it was what you would expect for the money.
The room was a reasonable size, small but adequate.
It was clean and comfy.
Tea and coffee making facilities. Bottled water and toiletries if you needed them.
Albert went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The locals were all very friendly
We would return.
Would recommend if you are looking for a budget hotel in that area
