Disappointing stay .. below our expectations.
Our recent stay at The Woods by Stayvista at Chail in Himachal Pradesh was not at all upto our expectations to say the least.
Looking at the brand name (Marriott) and the price we paid for a four day stay - almost 2 lacs for four rooms for four days without any inclusions!!!
The stay did not include breakfast, tea or any meal. We were charged for water as well.
After all this the least we expected was a pleasant stay and lovely surroundings.
But we felt extremely let down as the property was located at least 6 kms inside Chail main road and the last 3 kms of kachha road was absolutely torturous. It was a painful experience to leave the property and come back after a day out .
Though the rooms and beds were comfortable, there was very little space for anything else. The lawns were not well maintained and there was no activity room.
Even the bonfire was charged!!
Thank God we had booked vehicles otherwise it would have been impossible to go anywhere!!
Staff was very limited- only three people- a cook,a guard and part time help. Though they did their best to serve us we could see their limitations . Food choices were very limited and unimaginative.
Overall a poor quality stay for the price we paid. The location was the low point and should have been better explained to us as we were a group of senior citizens.
