central and lavish
This is the perfect place to stay in Ermoupolis. The lodge is in a building that goes back to the 1860s and was recently renovated. You can easily tell that every single detail has been taken care of. The apartment that we stayed in (split-level) was dreamy. Beautifully decorated, modern, yet with a touch of nostalgia, it certainly gave off lavish vibes. The apartment was huge and it accommodated to every single one of our needs. It had a kitchenette that was fully equipped with everything that a family with 2 young kids might need. The sofa bed and the upstairs bed were so comfortable and large, perhaps the most comfortable beds we've slept in.
The employee that was seeing to our needs and taking care of the apartment was so polite and discreet. The room was cleaned daily and we had fresh sheets and towels every single day.
There was also a nespresso machine, a detail that I loved.
The location is also ideal; right in the historical centre of Ermoupolis. Finding a parking space was a bit of a challenge, but it was to be expected since we chose to stay in the town's centre.
The hotel owner was so incredibly generous and allowed us to have an extra late checkout free of charge. We were going to take the 16.00 ship and she let us stay until 15.30 when we had to ultimately leave the island. That was so convenient for us, since we were travelling with our 2 young kids.
I would gladly stay at The Ten anytime I am in Syros and I am definitely going to miss it.
