Small and clean hotel

Very good and clean hotel , friendly atmosphere and people
They had make renovations, good place near mesogeios street near bus station
They change everything only the chairs in the breakfast probably they didn’t

Avoid - even if you get a cheap rate below 100 euros.

Please don’t let a low price make you think you are getting a good deal at this hotel. That’s what I thought , I just needed one night’s sleep and was leaving somewhat early. Even so, I still would never go back. The bed is at least comfortable , but the pillows are not. That’s largely irrelevant though because it’s the rest that’s so off putting. The room is basically a spare room with a bed in it. There are no amenities . Mismatched furniture, a spare chair, cable boxes sitting on the floor, other wires sticking out of the wall, no blanket on the bed, just a sheet. And the worst , a bathroom with no separate shower stall, just open, which means when you shower the entire bathroom floor gets wet. It dries eventually because the water flows into a drain in the floor, but here’s the worst part- when the water flows into the drain a stench then rises out of the drain and hovers in the room. You can’t escape it.and this was “the suite.”
When you tell the front desk, you will get an “I’m sorry” but that’s it.
The only other positive I can offer is a super nice guy at check in who makes great conversation.

Foothill

Secluded day-use hotel - in an area where hotels are actually just two of their kind - with minimal decoration, minimum amenities, lack of character and all, not an array of services, common but functional air condition and descent comfort level. They room rate is very competitive - though one can still find better with better overall options if not bothered enough going downtown - but the rooms are pretty clean & tidy and quite spacious for this type of hotel. Overall, a very basic starting point in climbing "Mount Pleasure" with a need to be discreet...

Good location in Athens suburb

This hotel is located in Agia Paraskevi, which is a nice suburb towards the west of Athens. I chose this location as I needed to be in the area and it had a free car park; having said that, it would actually be a good location even if you were in Athens to visit the normal tourist sights in the centre, as it is close to the metro station so you can get to the centre in ten to fifteen minutes. Agai Paraskevi is a nice area with plenty of cafes and restaurants, and it's a lot less chaotic than the centre so if you weren't bothered about actually being in the centre it would be an option. If you're coming by plane then another advantage would be that it is in the right direction for the airport.
I think at the moment they are renovating parts of the hotel, although this didn't cause any disturbance. The room I was in had certainly been recently renovated, and was a decent size with nice, attractive fittings and a nice bathroom; the photos of the rooms on the hotel website were very accurate. The only problem with the room was that the air conditioning was rather eccentric – you're not given a remote control, and the unit is either switched on or off at the wall. The problem was that when left on it cooled the room too much, so if you put it on before you go to bed you wake up freezing; not having the remote control, you can't control the temperature you want it cooled too. They might be able to change the thermostat setting at reception for you if you asked though.
We paid 70 euros, which I thought was a very good price, especially considering the cost of other hotels in the area (e.g. in Chalandri, Kifisia etc.). This didn't include breakfast, however, which was 8 euros a person (we didn't try it).
Overall I'd recommend the hotel, certainly if you want to be in the area, but even as an alternative to staying in the centre.

Τα δωμάτια δεν ανταποκρινονται στις φωτογραφίες. Παλιό ξενοδοχείο που χρίζει ανακαίνισης.
Το προσωπικό στη ρεσεψιόν μας απαντούσε ειρωνικά σε ότι ρωτήσαμε καθώς και αδιακριτοι (ρωτουσαν που πηγαίνουμε) Δεν αξίζει χρήματα που δώσαμε.
