Experience to forget
Don't believe the photos, taken with crazy wide angles or in other rooms.
The truth is that it is an unworthy, uncomfortable, dark and unkept place.
And it's not really worth spending the money on.
Despite having booked several months in advance, the room I was given - certainly not an apartment, almost not even a room - has an entrance with a living space of about 1 square meter in which you can hardly stay in two people; hence a tiny bathroom with an open grating door that can spread scents throughout the environment: two hands do not enter the sink because it is narrow; above all, the shoulders do not enter to approach the sink set next to the shower wall. The shower leaks water from everywhere; and it is low.
And then an absurd ladder that you would have to climb to go upstairs, to the mezzanine where the bed is: it is not a normal ladder, but a very steep wooden ladder stuck in an uncomfortable hole, like those of a boat, unsuitable for anyone because of the danger, the inconvenience, the speed, the narrowness of the steps: impossible for those who are no longer very young; impossible for anyone carrying something in their hand or to carry luggage. Consider then that you will have to do the boat ladder up and down if you have forgotten something; especially if you will have to go to the bathroom at night and that there are no lights on the ladder itself, forcing you to turn on the only general light to get off and on every time you wake up.
Arriving on the first floor you will find a new skimpy environment: a bed wedged with no space for bedside tables, no light to read, no sockets nearby even just to recharge the mobile phone; two gigantic fans to limit the little space; a desk with a screen above and under an ottoman (in front it would not fit, it would prevent access to the hole with the staircase); and a nice Nespresso machine... except that the cups and water are downstairs. Window overlooking peeling walls a couple of meters apart and air conditioning engines: zero brightness. However, it is impossible to keep the window open to the perennial loud music of the Owner's bar and the scents of fried onion rising up to the room. Hot? Hot and I don't know how you can stay in full summer: no air conditioning.
Although Booking.com's confirmation clearly stated that the Reservation was confirmed and to go to pick up the keys at the bar at number 3, I received insistent requests to authorize a deposit of €300 for any damage by providing my personal data via telephone outside Booking.com. I thought it was obvious it was a cheat. On arrival, however, we were not allowed to enter; they left us on the road for over an hour even though it was now dinner time, forcing me to provide such data for the threat of not letting us in at all, although everything was already settled and confirmed and the booking.com policy does not allow requests outside the system. The hospitality then wants all this to happen only through messages and short phone calls, because the bar was closed, nor did anyone welcome us or explain anything. Deposit for damage to what then? The only useless armchair that still narrows the entrance is pierced, the curtains are sad and uneven, the environment is impossible.
Experience to forget. And this is what someone who has been coming to Paris for work several times a year for 40 years tells you. And who loves the Marais.

Good option in Le Marais
The kitchenette is very small so do no expect to be able to cook much. The garbage room at ground floor is not cleaned so a strong smell possible in corridors. Sound proof is good. Bedding is good, rituals amenities and capsule coffee available. Only negative point is the poor lighting in the living area which make it dark in evening or during bad weather so not easy to work or read
